Helios Quartz Tin-Side Detector

One face of float glass is the clean "air side", while the other carries a thin tin film and is known as the "tin side". Ensuring that mirroring, lamination, screen printing, and coating processes are performed on the correct surface is critical to product quality. The Helios Quartz automatic tin detector distinguishes these two surfaces quickly and reliably: a green LED lights up on the air side, and a red LED blinks when the tin side is detected.

Thanks to its open contact output, it communicates with the production line's control panel, can trigger an audible alarm, or automatically stop the line. It delivers reliable results even on dark-tinted and anti-reflective glass, and eliminates human error through continuous automatic monitoring. It is offered with a compact version and Modbus protocol options; it is typically positioned on the line right after the washing machine, before processing.
